A focus of the IPG ® practice is Copyright and Trademark Litigation in Federal Courts. Our goal is to provide an effective litigation resource, whether litigation is appropriate in a jurisdiction in which we are admitted to a state bar, or one where we must seek special admission. Because our practice has a focus on Copyright matters, we have also found that we have been able to act as a cost effective resource for our clients where our admission to court can be properly obtained in foreign forums. We are happy to provide references from clients who have benefitted from our litigation services. Because of our "ready to go where we are able" orientation, we actively retain relationships with colleagues in other states, whose services we are able to rely upon when the need arises. IPG continues to see a migration of clients from "big firms." Frequently the explanation is that these clients prefer a boutique environment, where there is reasonable accessability to counsel, stability and familiarity with their business concerns, without multi-tier billing, and where they can pursue cost effective results with attorneys who confront IP issues as part of their daily routine.

As of 2009, IPG attorneys have litigated cases in the United States District Courts in Atlanta, Bismark, Buffalo, Chicago, Charlotte, NC, Denver, D.C., Los Angeles, Manhatten, Maryland, Minneapolis, St. Louis, San Diego, Richmond, and Tampa, and in the United States Claims Court. Attorneys are admitted to the Bars in the United States District Court for Colorado, Northern District of Illinois, District Court District of Columbia, District Court Maryland, District Court New York (Southern, Eastern and Western Districts), and District Court (Houston) Texas. IPG attorneys also have admission to the State Bars of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and New York, and have appeared on numerous occassions in New York, Colorado, and California.

Over 90% of our clients are located in states in which we do not maintain a full time office or have any affiliate. In most instances we are able, consistent with rules of practice and professional conduct, to provide representation from our offices in Washington, DC or in Baltimore Maryland, simply through using the telephone, facsimile, and where appropriate, e-mail. A small percentage of our clients are also located over seas, including clients in Australia, England, France, Germany, Israel, and Japan.
